BLUEBELL TOURS VIETNAM – On June 13, the head of the Asia-Pacific team selection committee for the 2023 Bonallack Trophy – Mr. Bones Floro, through the Vietnam Golf Association, sent an invitation to Nguyen Anh Minh to join the Asia-Thailand team. Binh Duong competes with the European team at the 2023 Bonallack Trophy.
This year, Bonallack Trophy 2023 will be held from August 3-August at La Manga Club, Spain. Bonallack Trophy is a tournament for amateur golfers following the model of Team Fight similar to the Ryder Cup tournament, an event held every two years between Europe and Asia/Pacific starting in 1998. The format of the Bonallack Trophy consists of 10 Fourballs, 10 Foursomes and 12 Singles Matches, played over 3 days.

In 2020, the tournament was canceled due to the pandemic and the last time the tournament was held in 2018 at Doha Golf Club, Qatar witnessed the ascension of the Asia-Pacific team with the leader Min Woo Lee, dotted. ending 14 years of European domination.
Some notable names who have participated in the Bonallack Trophy while competing as an Amateur can include Rory Mcilroy (2006), Jon Rahm (2012), Francesco Molinari (2004), Justin Rose (1998), Rasmus Højgaard (2018), Europe’s Shane Lowry (2008) and Cameron Smith (2012), Hideki Matsuyama (2012), Takumi Kanaya (2016,2018), Min Woo Lee (2018), Geoff Ogilvy (1998) and Danny Lee (2008) of the Asia-Pacific team.
Being invited to the team and being one of 12 members of the Asia-Pacific team to compete in the tournament is an honor for Anh Minh in particular and for Vietnam in general, Vietnam has had the first representative to compete in the tournament. A very prestigious golf tournament. According to the world amateur rankings, Anh Minh is currently ranked 218th and he is also a golfer with many impressive achievements at many domestic and international golf tournaments over the past time.
This historic milestone once again affirms the right direction of the Vietnam Golf Association in promoting the development of youth golf and strengthening international cooperation.
