On August 4, in Hanoi, the People’s Committee of Gia Lai Province, the Vietnam Sports Administration, Tien Phong Newspaper, and the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA) held a press conference to announce the Vietnam Golf Tournament – Gia Lai 2025. This event, considered a cornerstone of Vietnam Golf, will take place from August 18 to 23 at FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon – one of the top-rated golf courses in Vietnam.
Attracting 150 top-tier athletes, the tournament welcomes both professional Vietnamese golfers and skilled amateurs (with handicaps of ≤5.0 for men and ≤10.0 for women). Competitors will play four 18-hole rounds (72-hole stroke play), with a cut after 36 holes to determine the top 50 men and 12 women for the final rounds.
The prize pool for the 2025 Vietnam Golf Tournament reaches 1.2 billion VND—1 billion for the men’s division and 200 million for the women’s. Champions will receive 180 million VND and 60 million VND, respectively.
Nguyen Duc Son, the defending champion, shared, “Winning the 2024 title gave me the confidence to pursue international events. Playing at FLC Quy Nhon is always a challenge, and I aim to deliver my best to defend my title.”
In support of youth development in Vietnam Golf, the organizing committee waives entry fees for defending champions and national team members, while offering a 50% discount for players under 18 years old.
